Why are TrueStrike mats so revolutionary?

It is not an exaggeration to describe TrueStrike golf mats as revolutionary. Despite decades of golf mat development little has changed since the introduction of synthetic grass mats. Despite their efforts to persuade us otherwise the manufacturers of traditional golf mats have been offering largely the same product, i.e. a synthetic grass mat that looks like a fairway but plays like concrete. Not anymore!

For the first time the TrueStrike golf mat provides a playing surface that plays, feels and reacts like a natural fairway.
TrueStrike golf mats have a totally unique striking surface made from knitted polyester. This creates a 3D fabric, which sits the all important gel bladder. Combining these two elements replicates playing from a natural fairway.

This material is held in place by the strike surface frame. When struck with a club the combined effect of the two elements stretches, flexes and rucks up helping to recreate the effect of hitting off a natural fairway.

Underneath the top surface is an armoured nylon polyurethane pillow containing a closed cell foam insert and the all-important silicone gel. Unlike the hard foam backing on traditional golf mats this pillow allows the club head to play through the playing surface as it would on the fairway.

Benefits

Plays and reacts like a natural fairway

Advantages

The overall practice experience is far more realistic enabling the golfer to see a true representation of the shot played.

Encouraging the player who has given up practicing on anything but the best turf on dry days, to come back to your facility as the practice is now far more realistic without the pain, thus basically increasing your footfall and subsequent revenue.

Traditional golf mats’ impact upon your customer’s game

The playing surface on traditional mats certainly looks like grass but unfortunately it doesn't play like grass. This results in a number of swing problems when hitting from current artificial surfaces.

The golfer will tend to:

Thin or top the ball to avoid the shock and vibration associated with striking a golf mat.
Avoid commitment to the strike due to fear of the consequences of hitting hard into a traditional golf mat.
Experience unrealistic and unrepresentative ball flight and trajectory.

As the top surface of traditional mats does not behave like a fairway it is easy to learn bad habits on a golf mat. Not only does this affect your customer's game but it makes them less willing to visit your range.

For example, a fat shot on a traditional mat will often have no affect on the outcome of the shot, as the club can bounce off the mat and into to the ball producing a seemingly satisfactory shot.

Benefits

Performs in the same fashion as natural turf absorbing and dispersing shock and vibration

Being kind to developing joints, arms and wrists from an orthopedic point of view

Advantages

No shock or vibration being retransmitted back up the shaft of the club.

Minimizing injuries caused to tendons and joints in the wrist, hands and arms due to continued practice

Players can practice for longer with less fatigue thus hit more balls and increase the range's revenue.

Giving peace of mind to parents who's children hit lots and lots of balls that their children are not going to have issues later in life due to practicing of hard synthetic mats. A good marketing angle for the range.

The Solution: TrueStrike

TrueStrike's unique "fairway forgiveness" effect means that TrueStrike golf mats, play, feel and react like a natural fairway. For example, in the diagram on the right, the club goes into the TrueStrike top surface in front of the ball and produces a ripple effect in front of the club head. This affects the ball and slows the club head down as on a natural fairway. The result: a fat shot.

This means that your customers will be using a golf mat that accurately recreates the effects of play on a natural fairway. Gone are the days when your customers find they swing and hit perfectly from traditional golf mats only to find it all goes to pieces out on the golf course.

When using TrueStrike golf mats, for the first time golfers will produce shots that replicate those they produce on the fairway. Your customers will love the realism that "fairway forgiveness" effect produces. They will see real benefits previously unobtainable from range practice, and notice a significant improvement in their game. They will gain confidence and know that the shots practiced on the TrueStrike mat are a good and fair representation of shots played from the fairway.

The "fairway forgiveness" effect also means that you can use TrueStrike to teach on. In my thirty years as a golf professional I can honestly say this is the best alternative when grass is not available. I no longer need to worry that my students will learn how to play from a mat and build up confidence in their game, only to see it evaporate when they hit from a fairway.

In my personal opinion, the realistic way TrueStrike simulates playing from a fairway makes it the perfect practice, training and teaching aid.

I used to avoid teaching students on artificial mats at all costs. But since experiencing TrueStrike for myself I now gladly use TrueStrike to teach from. As a teaching professional I have been crying out for a realistic alternative to grass. Finally TrueStrike golf mats are able to offer this level of realism.

Benefits

The strike surface being replaceable at a minimal cost when worn
Advantages

The product will not deteriorate in performance through its life and as long as the strike surfaces are kept in good order the product will always perform at 100% unlike traditional mats that begin to deteriorate slowly the moment they are put on the ground

It is a fact that players vote with their feet and generally migrate to the next nearest range with the newest mats and balls. TrueStrike's performance is always 100%.

Benefits

The utilization of a regular tee allows the golfer to set their own tee height

The tee unit collapses forward when the shot is played

Bauble in place of the point on a tee

Advantages

The golfer can set the ball as they would during normal play thus gaining more realistic practice

This minimizes the drag caused by normal rubber tees during the stroke thus feels like playing off of a wooden tee

Stops the tee coming out of the tee receiver so it stays in place for the next shot.

Benefits

Elements can be changed as and when necessary.

4 1/2 years in development

Advantages

Saving the need to replace the whole product when just one part needs replacing.

Giving the facility and the paying public a top class surface to play from

A premium playing surface attracting the better golfer and increased footfall along and having it paid for by sponsors even the manufacturers of equipment being sold in their own pro shop. The facility cannot lose!

Protect Your Health With TrueStrike Golf Mats

The playing surface on traditional hard surface mats may look like grass but unfortunately it doesn't play like grass. The jarring effect that occurs when the golf club strikes a hard surface is a major cause of golf injuries. The harder the surface the higher the impact stress on the arms. Paying attention to the construction, quality, and performance of your golf practice mat will make a huge difference in the quality of the practice - and the results - you get.

Hard Surface Golf Mats - The Health Risks

Don't try to perfect your golf swing on an inferior hard surface golf practice mat, doing so could mean you are subjecting your body to a shock that over time can lead to pain, inflammation, joint troubles and even long term injuries.

Injuries such as:

    Tendonitis
    Golfer elbow - medial epicondylitis
    Tennis elbow - lateral epicondylitis
    Lower back pain
    Golfers wrist - hamates fractures
Wrist pain - carpal tunnel syndrome

Hard Surface Golf Mats - Unrealistic Practice

It's extremely difficult to hit a metal / wood or hybrid club from a hard surface or Astroturf mat. The for this reason is because the flat sole of these clubs makes them even more likely to bounce off a hard surface, resulting in a thin or topped shot. This creates a number of swing problems as the golfer will tend to:

Thin or top the ball to avoid the shock and vibration associated with striking a golf mat.
Avoid commitment to the strike due to fear of the consequences of hitting hard into a traditional golf mat.
Experience unrealistic and unrepresentative ball flight and trajectory.

When hiiting off a TrueStrike these problems can be aliminated, as TrueStrike has a "ruckable" top surface and a gel-filled divot simulating subsurface, that accurately recreates the effects of playing off a natural fairway by allowing the club head to play through the playing surface as it would on turf.

Improve your game and protect your health with TrueStrike

Unlike traditional practice mats, TrueStrike's revolutionary technology mitigates the likelihood of wrist, elbow and other common golf injuries that can hinder a career or keep the average player away from the golf course.

Its unique "fairway forgiveness" effect means that TrueStrike golf mats, play, feel and react like a natural fairway. Allowing you the golfer to drop strokes, improve your swing, and become a tougher competitor by practicing chipping and pitching at the range or at home.
